The Penrose' accommodation comprises of three rooms: 1 double en-suite, 1 twin en-suite and a large en-suite room with a double and single bed, that has its own private shower room that includes a king size shower cubicle, bidet and an adjacent private toilet. The bedrooms are bright, airy and comfortably furnished and equipped with LCD, Freeview TV, DVD/CD, WiFi, alarm clock, hairdryer and generous hospitality tray. Apart from the obvious comfort, the real emphasis here is the friendly, welcoming atmosphere provided by your hosts Anne and Marc who pull out all the stops to make you feel at home. Lower Crankan Farm sits just two miles from Penzance in the picturesque Newmill Valley and is a fabulous bolthole for lovers who are looking to relax, unwind and rejuvenate. You see, this bed and breakfast occupies a 200 year old Cornish farmhouse on a working smallholding. It really is The Good Life here where pedigree cattle, horses and hens whose eggs will grace your breakfast table wander. There is no need to worry about roughing it because you don’t have to as the accommodation here is simply fabulous. Geoff and Phil, the talented and friendly couple who own and run Lower Crankan Farm, told me that they decided to let only one bedroom so that their guests may experience peace, tranquillity and privacy amidst this glorious idyll. The accommodation comprises a ground floor bedroom that overlooks the pretty garden and is beautifully presented and equipped with a stunning en-suite wet-room, generous hospitality tray, flat screen TV with Sky, DVD player and a film library. Breakfasting here at Lower Crankan Farm is an occasion not to be missed where delicious Cornish cheeses, meats, hardboiled eggs together with homemade bread & preserves are served with freshly brewed tea and coffee. We were never able to finish this veritable feast and just before we left to explore the wild untamed Cornish coast, Geoff presented us with a picnic box of everything we were unable to finish.
