Gay Friendly Holiday Cottages Looe Cornwall
Cartole Cottages, 4 & 3 Star Gay Friendly Self Catering Holiday Cottages, Pelynt, Looe, Cornwall

www.cartole.co.uk

We found Cartole Holiday Cottages down a quiet, leafy lane surrounded by a patchwork of fields in the glorious Cornish countryside in the
village of
Pelynt close to the famous harbour town of Looe. There are just six pretty cottages here at Cartole that rest peacefully in six
acres of private grounds and gardens, so as you can imagine it never feels crowded. All of the holiday cottages were borne out of farm
buildings, someof which are over 300 years old. For Geoff, the friendly and hard working owner, the sympathetic conversions have been a
labour of love. His mission was to keep many of
original features in each cottage thus retaining their shape, integrity and fine architectural heritage wherever possible.  Inside the cottages exposed beams and stonework frame living spaces where comfortable furnishings and
thoughtful little touches just add to the character of these beautiful holiday home cottages. There are four two-bedroomed cottages, one three-bedroomed cottage and a single bedroomed cottage. All of the lounges are well furnished and have comfortable seating, digital
television with DVD and video. The kitchens are well equipped right down to the little things that you always need when staying in a holiday cottage but rarely find.
Looe has been enchanting visitors for over 200 years since it became a holiday resort. It is worth visiting the
harbour quay to watch the arrival of the small fishing fleet for the atmosphere, sights and sounds. Local fish can be found on the menus of
many Looe restaurants and Banjo Pier is a popular point from which to see the returning fishing trawlers at high tide.
There is also a fabulous sandy beach to enjoy or you can just wander along the narrow streets and soak up the vibrant atmosphere of this beautiful harbour town.

East and West Looe Cornwall

Looe is sits astride the River Looe. The two towns are joined together by a bridge across the river. In medieval times East Looe and West Looe
were  separate towns. East Looe includes the harbour and the main shopping centre. West Looe is quieter but also has shops, restaurants and hotels
& a seven-arched bridge, built in 1853, joins them. This replaced a much earlier bridge from the 15th century and there are still buildings of this
period in the town. Looe has been enchanting visitors for over 200 years since it became a holiday resort. It is worth visiting the harbour quay to
watch the arrival of the small fishing fleet, for the atmosphere sights and sounds. Local fish can be found on the menus of many Looe restaurants.
The banjo pier is a popular point from which to see the returning fishing trawlers at high tide. For those of you planning to drive to Looe, it is a
good idea to park near to the entrance of the town to avoid the extremely narrow streets were parking and driving are at best a nightmare.
